they take freedom for granted in UK, but they still have their own problem.
first, who has the freedom? the first admendment is supposed to give the freedom of speach to 'individual', but now it turns out to be the freedom of media 'company'.
second, the government protects the freedom of speach by 'not' making any law to intervein the function of media, that means, alternative media will 'not' get any support from it, because that means the game is not 'free' any more.
third, journalists have their own problem of identity as well. how can one draw a clear line between the motivation of representing the public interests and enlightening people, and that of using the media to modify the social value according to the elite point of view.
it's a mess anyway, hehe.
